Bullet Cleaning of Condensor And Heat – Exchanger Tubes
Water formed scaling and Bio Fouling stands as a major
burden while operating cooling water equipments and
such fouling causes severe heat-transfer problems in
addition to impacting the asset life of heatexchanger/condenser systems.
Bullet Cleaning involves the use of specialized
springloaded tube cleaners (bullets) that are shot
through the fouled condenser tubes using specially
designed water guns at 10-15 kg/cm2 pressure. The
bullets move through the tube from one end to the other
in a linear motion scraping off the deposits and corrosion
scales. Water from the gun flushes out the scraped
deposits resulting in a clean inside surface for the tube,
ideal for good heat transfer.
